 About the Book

This book is probably not for those who can only appreciate traditional poetry. In this book, you will find that the style is usually free verse, often personal and sometimes even confessional. It covers the following topics: my childhood and growing up- depression and the ups and downs of life- injustice and inequality- and love, faith and friendship. These poems are full of the honesty (and perhaps sometimes naïveté) of a young man suffering from clinical depression while coping with a recent divorce while trying to find the meaning of life and answers to soul-searching questions. These poems have greatly helped me, and I sincerely hope that they will do the same for you and speak to you in some way.Table of Contentsthe treethe woods (florida)the woods (canada)winter (canada)fall(and God knows this)breakfasti don’t wantvous ditesdefinitions part onedefinitions (cont.)definitions (more)a to zjust livewe are the little peoplethe civil rights movementbrute l. e. frankTake Up Your Spear!somewhere lurkingthe sensible peoplemaybe you?a christmas cardi turn inwardfalling in love
